    HEALTH & WELLBEING OF ADNOC FAMILY – SELF-QUARANTINE GUIDELINE FOR EMPLOYEES ARRIVING FROM OVERSEAS

The health and wellbeing of all employees is a key consideration for ADNOC. ADNOC has proactively developed educational and awareness material for contractors who are returning from overseas and working across ADNOC offices, sites, plants, vessels and operations. While personal travel is still discouraged, employees are required to inform their line manager if they themselves or family member travel outside the UAE. On arrival in the UAE person must self-quarantine for 14 days and have a negative COVID-19 test as applicable before being allowed to return to the office. The following shall apply for residents/citizens in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi:
  • In Emirate of Abu Dhabi on Day 12 and on Day 15
  • Other Emirates of the UAE – on Day 15 (and on any other day as per respective local government requirements, if any)
Even if the employee, a roommate or a household member get a negative COVID-19 test at the airport on arrival, they must still self-quarantine for the full 14 days. Kindly follow self-quarantine listed precautionary measures in accordance with government guidance before returning to the office or ADNOC site. WHERE WILL I QUARANTINE? For those needing quarantine in a residence i.e. not in a hotel, accommodation will be evaluated on arrival. If deemed unsuitable, person will be asked to check in to a hotel or use accommodation provided by the authorities. Those living alone may quarantine at home. Those living with family members or in shared accommodation will need to carry out their quarantine in a different location for 14 days. This may either be a hotel or accommodation provided by the authorities. For families traveling together, they may quarantine together at home. HOW DO I GET THE ELECTRONIC WRISTBAND? Representatives of the relevant authorities at all Abu Dhabi entry points will provide incoming travelers with an electronic wristband free of charge upon arrival into Abu Dhabi. WHY DO I NEED TO WEAR AN ELECTRONIC WRISTBAND? The electronic wristband helps to track home quarantine cases to ensure compliance with quarantine procedures, in order to ensure the health and safety of travelers and community members, and to avoid the spread of infection. The authorities have stipulated that failure to wear the wristband will incur fine. WHAT TYPE OF TEST WILL I TAKE ON DAY 12 AND WHERE? All travelers will undergo a PCR Swab test on day 12 at their own cost. However, payments made by employees for themselves or their family members will be reimbursed as applicable by respective HR from the company (only wherein the travel was due to the business requirements of ADNOC). A representative from Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre will contact you to make a test appointment at one of the following SEHA health facilities:
  • COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centre at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)
  • COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centre at Al Ain Convention Centre
  • Al Dhafra Hospitals
WHEN AND HOW WILL THE WRISTBAND BE REMOVED? The wristband will be removed on day 15 once a negative test result has been received. A representative from Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre will contact you to make a test appointment at one of the following SEHA health facilities:
  • COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centre at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)
  • COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centre at Al Ain Convention Centre
  • Al Dhafra Hospitals
WHAT TYPE OF TEST WILL I TAKE ON DAY 15 AND WHERE? All ADNOC Group & Contractor personnel will undergo a PCR Swab test on day 15 and the cost will be borne by the respective employer. Kindly contact your company respective Medical Coordinator/Line Manager for further information. QUARANTINING AT HOME:
  • Stay at Home
  • Do not invite visitors or allow them to enter your house during this period.
  • Remain in your home, do not go to work, school, or public areas
  • Do not use public transport or taxis.
  • It is advised when shopping or ordering online that you avoid direct contact with the delivery man and to ask that items are left outside your door, or on the porch, or as appropriate for your home
