The level of collaboration between the UAE and France continues to increase. French- UAE cooperation spans multiple sectors like Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning system, Financial and insurance activities, Wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing, mining and quarrying, Real Estate activities ,Construction, Administrative and support service activities, Information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, education, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, Transportation and storage, accommodation and food service activities.
In 2019 , 107 French companies and 273 commercial agencies registered in the UAE. 17,115 trademarks registered in the period of 1993 to 2019 in the UAE.
Bilateral trade between the UAE and France is strong and continues to grow. Non-oil trade volume between the UAE and France was USD 7.5 billion in 2019. The UAE has signed 50 trade agreements with France over the last 10 years. Strategic partnership roadmap for the next decade of partnership (2020 -2030) endorsed by UAE and France to boost ties in Technology, food security, advanced sciences, human capital and research and development. The UAE is a significant investor in France, including in the shipping, aircraft, industrial, food industry, financial, real estate and tourism sector.
France is the 4th largest foreign investor in the UAE globally.
