Abu Dhabi Government is to carry out a three and a half-day working week, with ends of the week moved to Saturday-Sunday, and a half-day on Friday in the emirate, in accordance with the UAE’s vision to upgrade its worldwide seriousness across monetary and business areas and to stay up with worldwide turns of events.
As per the choice, the new week after week work timetable will be carried out in Abu Dhabi across all administration substances. The week’s worth of work will become Monday to Thursday with a half-work day on Friday.
Starting at 1 January 2022, the end of the week will fall on Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday, 2 January to be an authority occasion.
Official working hours in government substances will be from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Thursday, with customary adaptable timings staying pertinent, and from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm on Friday.
On Fridays, employees will also be allowed to choose flexible work or work-from-home options. The longer weekend is aimed at boosting productivity and improving work-life balance.
