DED Implements Strict COVID-19 Prevention Measures

The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi urges you and your staff to comply with the directives related to the preventive measures aiming to control the Coronavirus outbreak, and abide to the instructions of the National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and the Ministry of Health and prevention, in particular, to commit to performing the test upon request. We draw you attention to the decision of the UAE Attorney General No.38/2020 regarding the application of Administrative sanctions and fines stated in the Cabinet decree No. 17/2020, that stipulated the following sanctions: A fine of 5000 AED in case of refusing to conduct the medical test upon request, this fine shall be doubled in case of repeat, and the offender will be transferred to the Emergency & Crisis prosecution when committing the third infraction.
