UAE Immigration Updates 2020
Work permits and residence visas will be issued and renewed automatically for commercial and domestic workers, as a feature of precautionary steps taken by the UAE to control the spread of COVID-19.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, have declared exclusion of workers whose work permits have expired from the Medical tests.
Under the new measures, workers need not go to the medical examination centers across the country. The Fees for such services will be collected through the approved payment channels. When the fee is paid, the laborers will stay legitimate residents of the UAE.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship asked the business owners to report any suspected case of COVID-19 among their workers. It also urged all the workers in the UAE to adhere to the precautionary instructions for their own safety and for the safety of the community at large.
